The Cummings are a treasure of a family to us. They have blessed us with their faithfulness to community, relationships and service, so we cherished the moment we got to go out and take some family photos with them. Now the moments to capture photos of the Cummings’ kids are precious, because you never know what could happen next. But we love the spontaneity and spunk that comes with hanging out with these guys…we end up laughing and enjoying ourselves so much! This probably isn’t the type of photography people think of when they imagine family photographs, but it displays a side of the family you wouldn’t see sitting in a studio with a backdrop necessarily. For the shoot, we went to the Oak Park mural to take some family photographs, and then made some use of the art murals along the way. Looking back, I may have done this differently in that I would have used the murals as blurred out back drops; it probably would have required me to stand in the middle of the street but hey, all for the photograph. The murals in focus look good though, too. After the murals, we went to Caribou for some hot chocolate (and maybe a lollipop or two). Cummings, we had a great time and hope that these photographs serve as an illustration of this season of life for you. Much love!
