Christmas traditions are one of life’s sweetest realities. They give you a sense of wonder, warmth and allow you to focus on the beauty of this life. Traditions strengthen communities, families and personal relationships. Whether it’s ice skating, turning on your favorite Christmas music, people watching downtown, waiting for your favorite home made pastry to bake….hmmm, traditions are good for the soul!
This year has been special for us. We welcomed our first son into the world and we have loved introducing him to a few traditions we’ve been hooked on for the last several years. One of those traditions is filling our home with some of the most gorgeous Christmas music we know of by our dear friends Jon and Val Guerra. Their sweet harmonies, playful melodies and thought provoking lyrics center us around the beauty of this time of year. They help us dream, laugh, dance in our kitchen, sing out loud and contemplate life’s deeper questions.
We had the privilege of taking some portraits of them for their new Christmas album. We wanted to share.
