Ruth and David met in California one summer when they were teenagers. They became good friends, played soccer on the beach, went on hikes, and sat around camp fires singing and strumming the guitar. After their teen years they lost connection and continued with their lives in Chicago and California, however their story didn’t end. A few years ago they reconnected back in California and realized they wanted to pursue each other.
After falling in love, long distance communication and moving to the same state, they decided to elope in Chicago surrounded by family and David’s sweet daughter. It was a gorgeous late summer day with hints of Fall in the air…and there’s nothing that can touch Fall in Chicago. Warm morning light, crisp breeze, a coffee in hand, long walks past classic Greystones…
Their wedding elopement was simple, sacred and so very classy. They enjoyed a gorgeous brunch, walked to Lincoln Park to exchange vows and ran around the city taking portraits. We thoroughly enjoyed shooting in the morning, the crisp feeling of Fall and spending this day with Ruth and David…two of our favorite people.
